Each day at 9:00 a.m. and again at 1:00 p.m. the Dolphin Explorer departs from the Marco River Marina to conduct a three-hour survey of the local population of bottlenose dolphins. The public is invited to join our survey team of naturalists and biologists, learn about and participate in the work of the 10,000 Island Dolphin Project, observe dolphins in their natural habitat and view a magnificent esturary dominated by mangroves and rich in wading birds, Osprey, Manatee and much more.
